Muskegon Surf Cam is operated by Michigan Dawn Patrol LLC. The live camera, weather, wind, wave, and forecast information on this site (the "Service") are provided for general informational and entertainment purposes only.
Not for navigation or safety decisions.
Do not use this Service for navigation or to make any decision affecting health, safety, or property. Always consult official sources such as the U.S. National Weather Service (weather.gov) and the U.S. Coast Guard, and use your own judgment.
No guarantee of accuracy
Weather and marine information is gathered from third‑party sources (including NOAA) and automated sensors and may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, delayed, or unavailable. The live camera may be offline, obstructed, or show conditions that differ from the actual current conditions. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or reliability of any information on the Service. All information is provided "as is" and "as available."
Assumption of risk
Water activities — including surfing, kiteboarding, windsurfing, boating, paddling, and swimming — are inherently dangerous, and conditions on Lake Michigan can change rapidly and without warning. If you choose to act based on anything you see on the Service, you do so entirely at your own risk. You are solely responsible for evaluating conditions and for your own safety and the safety of others.
Camera and recorded footage
The camera shows public outdoor areas of the Muskegon waterfront and captures video only — no audio. A rolling recording of approximately the last 24 hours is available to logged‑in members for replay. Footage is automatically and permanently deleted after about 24 hours and is not kept beyond that. Because the camera views a public space, people and activity in those areas may incidentally appear in the live or recorded video. We do not use facial recognition or attempt to identify individuals. No liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Michigan Dawn Patrol LLC and its members, managers, employees, and agents are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage of any kind arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Service or any information it provides.
